Tamar currently holds the position of a Junior Associate at BLC. Her practice focuses primarily on Securities Law, Payment Systems, Data Protection, regulation of Virtual Asset Service Providers and civil litigation. Tamar’s professional expertise also encompasses corporate and contract law, financial compliance, employment law, and anti-trust law.

Tamar began her legal career at another top-tier Georgian law firm, where she was actively engaged in drafting complex commercial agreements, conducting due diligence, preparing legal memoranda, and advising clients on corporate governance, labor, and competition law matters. She later served as an In-House Counsel at a leading Payment Services Provider in Georgia, where her work focused on contractual structuring, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of anti–money laundering  and counter–terrorist financing procedures, particularly within the FinTech and payment systems sector. In 2025, Tamar joined BLC Law Office, where she continues to strengthen her expertise in financial and regulatory law, with a focus on emerging technologies and digital finance.

Tamar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the Free University of Tbilisi and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law at the same institution. Her academic excellence has been recognized through the National Full State Scholarship for both her Bachelor’s and Master’s studies, awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

Throughout her academic journey, Tamar has achieved outstanding results in international moot court competitions. She represented Georgia in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition twice — first in 2021, where her team achieved the highest results among teams from the Caucasus region, and again in 2023, where her team won the national rounds and advanced to the international rounds in Washington, D.C., where Tamar ranked among the Top 200 Oralists worldwide with an exceptional average score. Her other distinctions include being awarded the Best Speaker title and achieving podium placements at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot pre-moots, as well as winning the Clifford Chance Prize for Best Written Pleadings and the Professor William Cornish Best Speaker Prize at the Central and Eastern European Moot Court Competition (CEEMC). Tamar also ranked among the top national semi-finalists in the Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition, focused on European labor law.

Beyond her competitive record, Tamar actively contributes to legal education as an arbitrator and coach in international moot court competitions, including the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot mentoring student teams and evaluating oral advocacy performances.

Her combination of academic distinction, practical legal experience, and strong focus on financial regulation and technology law positions Tamar as a promising and versatile professional in the Georgian legal field.
